A downloadable game for Windows

POOL.WAV is a photorealistic backrooms/poolrooms inspired short demo.

It is made in Flax Engine and uses DDGI.

You will need a dedicated GPU to run the game. Igpus might work with low quality settings but probably won't have a playable FPS.

Note: You can change the quality with arrow keys in the menu.

Looks so great. But could you export it for Linux please. My Wine (program on which I can play games for Windows on Linux) can't render the game well so i could se only dark screen.

Great work dude! I love the Poolrooms so much and I feel safe everytime but you made me feel not safe with what you done (play to find out). However, I must say I wish there was an end but I watched your YT Video after it and it explains why.  Great game 8/10

came from your yt video, definitly underrated, I really hope you make a full game on top of this project one day, maybe to find some letters left from someone who were there (maybe thats his blood in the walls?)
Anyways congrats man!

Great work. Its subjective, but I felt the mouse sensitivity was a bit high. But man, great environment. Ever think of making a full backrooms game? For some reason, I could never get enough.

Thanks! A lot of people suggested that I turn this into a full game but I am not sure yet :D We will see!

you should try to deviate from poolrooms and focus on creating a good nostalgic liminal space and away from horror, so you can show nostalgia, familiarity but not unsettlement, or if you want to make it horror-like, try to add out of place things into it, just an idea!

Can confirm that it needs a dedicated GPU :D I enjoyed the video and the game, got curious as to what would happen with an internal underpowered GPU and enjoyed the yellow mess that followed. When I dialed the quality down to LOW all the rooms were dark, almost as if I played the game in a dark setting-but apart from that it still worked. Thanks for your work!

This was not bad at all! Graphics looked great and it ran fine on my 6700 xt while recording it. Do not know if I was supposed to find an actual ending or it just ends when you explored the whole map. Made a video on it,

Great play through awesome! :D There is not a proper ending unfortunately. It's mostly just a walking simulator :D
